Lifetime authenticity guarantee
OVERVIEW
No matter how long the item has been used or how many times the ownership has changed over the years, as long as the item is still in usable condition and there are no significant changes in wear and tear since we authenticated it, you can file a claim if your item is deemed counterfeit by at least 3 reputable authenticators. We will pay you the amount that you paid for the item or prevailing market price (whichever is lower).

Proof of purchase
You must retain and submit a valid proof of purchase which shows seller’s contact information, purchase date, mode of payment, and price. It can be store receipt, bill of sale, marketplace transaction (e.g. eBay, Poshmark), or peer-to-peer transaction (e.g. PayPal, Venmo). For credit card, marketplace, and peer-to-peer transaction, you must have paid for the item via goods/services option (not friends/family) and show the proof that you had already filed a dispute with credit card issuer, marketplace, or peer-to-peer payment processor but did not win the case, or you were unable to file a dispute because of time limit. Cash or cash-like transactions (e.g. Zelle, wire transfer) are not advised. However, if you paid for the item with cash or cash-like payment, you must also submit seller’s identity document (e.g. passport, driver’s license).
FILE A CLAIM
Submit all claim documents to us via e-mail (admin@modacert.com). We will review your claim and let you know within 30 days if your documents are valid, so you can ship the item to us. After we receive your item, we will examine the item and let you know the payout price within 30 days. If you agree to release your ownership of the item, we will send payment to your PayPal within 30 days.
